Here's how it works:

1. Sign up for an account.

Click the "Sign Up" button on the PurvX website and enter your details to create an account. Choose between an Individual account with no setup or monthly fees, or a Business account with a subscription plan for premium features.

  • Business Account Subscriptions: PurvX offers various subscription plans tailored for business sellers, each with unique benefits and fees. Start listing your items once you activate your subscription plan. Visit the PurvX Business Subscriptions page for detailed information on the available plans and their features. Choose the plan that best suits your business needs and get started today!

2. List your items.

Click the "List Your Desi Item" button and enter the following information:

  • Item details: Item title, description, condition, price, and shipping/pickup options
  • Photos: Photos of your item

3. Set up your payments.

Once you've listed your item, you'll need to set up your payments so PurvX can pay you when your item sells. This is a one-time step that's handled securely by Stripe, a well-known payment platform used by Amazon, Lyft, and other companies.

To set up your payments, you'll need to select your payment method and provide your bank account details. PurvX never has access to your bank details; they are securely stored by Stripe.

4. Complete identity verification.

To maintain the safety and trust of our platform, PurvX requires sellers to complete identity verification through Stripe. This process is quick and easy and helps to ensure that all sellers on PurvX are real people.

PurvX will never ask for your bank or identification information and all of it is handled securely via the Stripe platform.

5. Fees and payments.

Individual Accounts: There are no setup, listing, subscription, or monthly fees. You'll only pay a 25% commission fee when your item sells, which also covers payment transaction fees. If your item doesn't sell, there's no cost. It's a win-win to list on PurvX, where the South Asian community is actively looking to buy and sell desi items.

Business Accounts: Require a subscription plan to access premium features and list items. In addition to the subscription fee, a 25% commission fee is applied when your item sells, covering payment transaction fees. If your item doesn't sell, there's no additional cost beyond your subscription.

6. Get your listing approved.

Once you've listed your item and set up your payments, your listing will need to be approved by the PurvX team. This is to ensure that all listings on PurvX meet quality and community standards.

Note: Your listing will not be sent for approval until you have completed identity verification through Stripe. Remember to submit your listing after completing the ID verification so it can go into approval.

7. Wait for your sale!

Once your listing is approved, it will go live on the PurvX website. When your item sells, you'll receive an email notification. Simply pack and ship your item or arrange for pickup to complete the sale.
